Sponsor the Worship Leader ($305.00)
Worship at TYC 2015 will be led by Lindsay McCarty, Youth Director at Community Presbyterian Church
of Ben Avon (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania). The theme for TYC 2015 is, "For Such a Time as This
" based on Esther 4:14. "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?"
Sponsor a Workshop (11 total, at $305.00 each)
1. The Holy Land: Israel of Ester-year and Today - This workshop explores Israel from a biblical perspective in regards to today's conflict. Campers will learn more about the history and traditions that have surrounded the area, and, as Christians, our responsibility to the land.
2. Doubt/Trust - Exploring the idea that we have doubts in our faith, but still trust God to guide us back to Him.
3. Single? Taken? It's complicated? - Sometimes a relationship with another person can be just as important as your relationship with God. Learn how to express and find where you stand in your relationships in life in this workshop.
4. Prayer/Spirituality - In this workshop, you will dive deep into prayer and learn to have a closer relationship with Jesus. Through focusing on how to listen in prayer and sensing the Holy Spirit, you will grow tremendously in your spiritual life.
5. Sexuality and the Spirit - We are one body of Christ, and in this workshop we will explore how many individuals express their love of God in relations with others.
6. Advocacy (Stewardship) - We are called to be advocates of God's word. Learn how to channel your gifts and talents in your everyday life with those around you while helping to build up the people of God.
7. Creative Arts - God has blessed us all with creativity and the ability to express ourselves. Learn how the Holy Spirit can inspire you to spread the love of Christ.
8. Diversity - - Learn to truly love your neighbor as yourself by embracing the diversity God has blessed us with.
9. Traditions (Why Christians Do?) - This workshop looks at the traditions of Christianity (prayer, going to church, Communion, etc.) but focuses more on why we do them. It puts the meaning back into all of the actions we do as Christians.
10. Righteous Anger - We as people get angry. Even Jesus got angry, and in this workshop we'll use scripture to discuss anger and how as Christians we should deal with anger.
11. Leadership - Youth will develop their abilities to be leaders. Using these skills, they will explore how to help others and themselves to stay connected with the Lord in daily life.

An absolute necessity at TYC.
Sponsor Morning Watch ($305.00)
The morning watch leader position has become (whenever possible) a position that
is occupied by a prospective worship leader that is new to TYC. Filling this
role affords that person the opportunity to observe, absorb, and gain a comfort
level with TYC prior to them actually leading worship.
Sponsor the Nurse ($305.00)
The nurse position is becoming increasingly important in the litigious society
in which we live. Even if we discount all of the incidental scrapes and bruises
that occur during the week as a matter of course, it seems that there are a
record number of prescription medications dispensed each year. Our nurse is
responsible for overseeing all of this. We take this very seriously and take the steps
necessary to provide the level of professionalism and expertise the position
demands.
Sponsor the Photographer/Slideshow ($305.00)
So much goes on during the week during TYC that it literally takes one person
all day every day to do justice to capturing it photographically. This
photographic record of the week is set to music and "played back" on Friday as a
slideshow. The slideshow is one of the highlights of the week, and it wouldn't
be possible without our full time photographer.
In this ever increasing digital age, this will be, for some, the only photograph
from TYC they have this is printed.
Sponsor the Director ($305.00)
Can't live with 'em…can't live without 'em. A crucial role at TYC for keeping
the group true to the schedule of activities and also the "heavy" when
necessary.
Sponsor the Planning Team (5 at $205.00 each; 5 at $100.00 each)
The planning team members now, with a few exceptions, serve a 2-year term.
During their first year, they are expected to pay everything except the $100
deposit. For the second year, they are only expected to pay the $100.00 deposit.
In this way it works out that each planning team member is afforded one year of
TYC free of charge with our gratitude for their service/hard work.
Other Sponsorship Needs
Sponsor the TYC 2015 Brochure (Printing/Mailing) ($1,230.00 total - 2 @
$305.00 each and 4 @ $155.00 each) - We print and mail a brochure to
each Presbyterian Church and Presbytery within the Synod of the Trinity. We also
mail one brochure to everyone who participated the year before (we encourage
them to share this with a friend).
Sponsor our General Liability Insurance Policy (2015 Premium)
($1,400.00 total - 2 @ $400.00 each and 4 @ $150.00 each) - This
protects the conference and its participants, and Living Waters Camp and
Conference Center now insists that prospective user groups provide a certificate
of insurance prior to securing a reservation.
Sponsor the TYC 2015 "Camp Photo" ($310.00) - one glossy 8"x10"
photo is given to each participant at the end of the week.
Sponsor our website hosting expenses ($80.00) - our website
accepts registrations for TYC as well as payment and donations. This has become
an indispensable tool and has streamlined the registration process.
Sponsor our website maintenance expenses/periodic updates by our
professional web designer (consultant) ($800.00 total - 4 @ $100.00 each, 8 @
$50.00 each) - While we are able to manage much of the content of the
website ourselves, there are certain things that must be modified or added that
are beyond our expertise.
Sponsor our PayPal Expenses ($325.00) We accumulate
approximately $325.00 each year in expenses associated with the use of PayPal
for online registrations and donations. However, the convenience of being able
to accept payments/donations online far outweighs the loss of revenue.
Please consider helping us to offset this expense.
